About this walkthrough

This is a complete walkthrough for Adventures of Max Fax.

Using this walkthrough will get you through the game with the least amount of time and wandering around, but may spoil the game and fun of exploring.

Items which can be picked up as inventory items and items which can be constructed by combining or using other items are written with bold text for emphasis.

 


 

- Read the message on the computer.
- After doing that, interacting with the computer will show you open on-going objectives in the game.
- Take the phone from the bed.
- Go to the hall.
- Go to the bedroom.
- Go outside to the balcony and check the fire escape hatch.
- Go back to the hall.
- Interact with the pantry and you will automatically get an awl.
- Exit the flat.

- Talk to the neighbor.
- Go through the doors that go to the lift.
- Start going down and try to find the 84th flat. Use the lift button to use lifts, or use the door "to the ladder" which actually means stairs.
- If you decided to take the stairs, take a mental note of which floor the painter is on.
- On the 7th floor, talk to the neighbor. Watch the cutscene that follows.
- On the 6th floor, ring the bell of the 84th flat.
- Keep going down in the building.
- On the first floor, check the nook under the stairs.
- Exit the building.

- Outside, check the drain.
- Pick up the cat.
- Go behind the building, using the way behind the building, obviously.
- Pick up the bottle.
- Check the air-hole.
- Go back inside.

- If you took stairs down, use lifts this time. Talk to granny on the 1st floor, if you already haven't.
- Go to the 13th floor and enter your flat.
- Go to the bathroom.
- Use the bottle with sink to get a bottle with water.
- Use the awl with the bottle of water to get a spray cap.
- Go to the lifts. Open the lift door, and automatically use the spray cap in the lift.
- Go to the 1st floor.

- Pick up the hearing aid from the floor.
- Go behind the building.
- Use the hearing aid to eavesdrop on the air-hole.
- Go back inside.
- If you already found the painter, go to him, otherwise try to locate him.
- On the 10th floor, talk to the painter.
- After he leaves, pick up paint and stepladder.

- Go up to the 15th floor.
- Use the cat with the dog.
- On the 15th floor, take the stairs and go up to the rooftop.
- Talk to Tanya. Watch the cutscene.
- Go back down and outside.

- Pick up the magazine from the ground.
- Go back inside.
- Interact with the nook and hide under the stairs.
- Start following the man up the stairs.
- Enter the 4th floor.
- Go to the 15th floor.

- Use the magazine with the dog.
- Pick up a mat with fleas.
- Go to the 13th floor and enter your flat.
- Go to the balcony through bedroom.
- Use the fire escape and go to the 9th floor.
- Look into the lit flat. You need to do this twice for some reason.
- Use the spray cap on the little guy who is smoking.

- Go to the 4th floor.
- Look into the lit flat.
- Try to take the chemical formula.
- Go to the 3rd floor.
- Look into the lit flat.
- Use the mat with fleas on Angela.
- Enter the flat and go to the bathroom (all flat layouts are identical).
- Use phone on showering Angela.
- Pick up scissors from the sink.
- Return to your own flat using the fire escape.

- Use the phone with the computer. Watch the cutscene that follows.
- Go to the 7th floor.
- Talk to the neighbor. Watch the cutscene that follows.
- Go to the 1st floor.
- There is "a balloon with chemicals" over the door that leads outside. (How is that a balloon, it looks like a cylindrical container?!) Use the stepladder with that alleged balloon to get "a balloon with chemicals" in the inventory.

- Go to the 13th floor and enter your flat.
- Use the fire escape and go to the 4th floor.

- Enter the flat.
- Take the chemical formula.
- Go to the hall and further on to the WC.
- Use scissors on the chemical formula to cut it.
- Use the chemical formula with a pile of paper on the floor.
- Switch the air freshener with a balloon with chemical.
- Go back to the fire escape. Watch the cutscene that follows.
- Go to the 3rd floor.

- Enter the flat.
- Take the flowers from the bed.
- Return to your own flat using the fire escape.
- Go back down and outside.
- Talk to Sergey.
- Give the flowers to Sergey.
- Use paint on the sidewalk.
- Talk to Sergey again.
- Watch the cutscenes and credits.
