About this walkthrough

This is a complete walkthrough for Space Quest II: Vohaul's Revenge.

Using this walkthrough will get you through the game, but may spoil the game and fun of exploring.

Following this walkthrough exactly as it is written should result in the score with maximum points.

Items which can be picked up as inventory items and items which can be constructed by combining or using other items are written with bold text for emphasis. Input commands that are typed into parser are written with CAPITAL LETTERS.

Xenon Orbital Station 4

Xenon Orbital Station 4.- LOOK WATCH
- C
- Walk to the airlock that is in the "ceiling".
- GET CLOTHES
- OPEN LOCKER
- GET ALL (new inventory items: order form, dialect translator, supporter, puzzle)
- Go west.
- Use the elevator platform.
- Enter the tube.
- Walk down the ramp and enter the shuttle.

Labion

- SEARCH MAN
- GET KEYCARD (new inventory item: keycard)
- Go to wreckage.
- PUSH BUTTON
- Go north.
- Hide behind the big tree when the hovercraft passes.
- Go east.
- FREE ALIEN
- Go back west, and then again west.
- Go stand next to blue spores on the ground. Note: if you accidentally step on them, you will be paralysed. This is not deadly, but you need to wait for a while for the effects to leave your body.
- GET SPORE (new inventory item: spore)
- Go north.

- In front of you is a maze that you need to navigate through. Finding the right path is straightforward, as you can see the entire maze. The challenging part is not to step on the blue roots that form the maze, as stepping on the roots is deadly. The best way to clear the maze is to go through it slowly, and save the game at least three or four times, preferably right after clearing some tricky turn. Note that you can take very small steps by hitting arrow keys twice in row, first to start movement and immediately after to stop the movement.
- GET BERRIES (new inventory item: berries)
- Navigate through the maze again to get back where you came from.
- Go south, go east.

- Go up the small path behind the big trees.
- Go west.
- Go stand next to mail box.
- READ ORDER FORM
- MAIL ORDER FORM
- GET WHISTLE (new inventory item: whistle)
- Go back east, and then again east.

- RUB BERRIES ON BODY
- Go east into the swamp and keep going until the water becomes deep enough to dive. The right spot is in the second screen, in the middle of the screen.
- HOLD BREATH
- Dive into the cave.
- Go west, go up.
- GET GEM (new inventory item: glowing gem)
- Return to where you came from, first go into water, HOLD BREATH, go east, go up.
- When back in the swamp, go east, and then again east.
- CLIMB TREE
- Go across the chasm using the log.
- Go east, and keep going east until you get caught in a trap.

- TALK HUNTER (twice)
- THROW SPORES
- GET KEY (new inventory item: cage key)
- UNLOCK DOOR
- OPEN DOOR
- Walk to a rock next to cage.
- GET ROPE (new inventory item: rope)
- Go north.
- Go west, and then again west.
- CLIMB LOG
- TIE ROPE ON LOG
- CLIMB ROPE
- SWING
- Hit F6 key to jump to the ledge. The jump must be timed well in order to land there, and to avoid the creature on the other side. The best way is to let the swinging motion gain some speed, and then watch the creature on the other side. When the speed is fast enough, the creature tries to unsuccessfully grab you few times before succeeding in that, that's when the speed is enough to reach the other side.
- Enter the cave.

- Walk into darkness (the following step can't be done if you stand in the light).
- USE GEM
- Go west.
- Walk to the green spot on the ground, it's the gem that has fallen from the inventory.
- GET GEM
- Go south.
- SAY THE WORD
- Go down the ladder.
- PUT GEM IN MOUTH
- You need to go through the maze. The optimal route is: down, right, down, right, down, right, down all the way, left until the second ladder, down, right until you reach the exit.

- Go into the underground stream and go east.
- When the stream comes to a fork, go to right, and enter the whirlpool which pulls you down, but also brings you outside.
- Go east.
- BLOW WHISTLE
- Avoid contact with Labion terror beast. The beast can't come into the water, so that's a safe spot.
- THROW PUZZLE
- Go to the rock.
- GET STONE (new inventory item: stone)
- Go north through the rock.
- Hide behind bushes.
- THROW STONE AT GUARD WITH SUPPORTER
- Walk to the door.
- INSERT KEYCARD
- ENTER SHIP

- LOOK CONTROLS
- LOOK ATTITUDE DIAL
- PUSH POWER BUTTON
- SET DIAL VAC
- PUSH THRUSTER BUTTON
- PULL THROTTLE

Thruster controls.
- Use up and down key to control descent and ascend, the goal is to ascend.
- SET DIAL HAC
- Vohaul will contact you and take control of the shuttle.

Vohaul's asteroid

- Vohaul's asteroid is basically one big death trap, save early, save often. Do not go down the stairs from the shuttle. Go east.
- Enter the elevator.
- FIVE
- Go east, and then again east.
- Go to the door in between two cell doors.
- PUSH BUTTON
- LOOK AROUND
- GET BASKET (new inventory item: waste basket)
- GET OVERALLS
- LOOK FLOOR
- GET LIGHTER (new inventory item: lighter)
- Return to the elevator.

- FOUR
- Go east, then east, and once more again east.
- Go to either one of the two doors.
- PUSH BUTTON
- Go to the empty toilet stall.
- OPEN DOOR
- GET PAPER (new inventory item: toilet paper)
(- For laughs, you can try CLOSE DOOR and USE TOILET.)
- Go east.
- Go to the door.
- PUSH BUTTON
- LOOK AROUND
- GET CUTTER (new inventory item: glass cutter)
- Return to the elevator, or go west, and then again west.

- THREE
- Go east, and then again east. (West, and then again west if coming from the opposite direction.)
- Go to the door.
- PUSH BUTTON
- LOOK AROUND
- GET PLUNGER (new inventory item: plunger)
- Return to the elevator.

- ONE
- Return to the shuttle.
- Walk down the stairs.
- Try to walk west, and then try to walk east.
- Walk as far as you can towards west.
- Wait until the sliding floor starts to move, and at the last possible moment STICK PLUNGER ON WALL
- Wait until the floor has closed.
- RELEASE GRIP

- LOOK CEILING
- PUT PAPER IN BASKET
- DROP BASKET
- LIGHT BASKET
- Go east, and then again east.
- Climb the stairs that lead to Vohaul.
- After the cutscene, you will be trapped miniaturised in a glass jar.
- USE CUTTER
- Walk left to the vent.
- CLIMB VENT
- PUSH BUTTON
- CLIMB OUT
- Go west.

Monitor.- Walk to the on/off switch.
- PULL SWITCH
- TYPE ENLARGE
- Go east.
- Go inside the glass jar, under the beam.
- After regaining full size again, walk to Vohaul's body.
- SEARCH BODY
- Walk to the flashing monitor.
- LOOK MONITOR
- SHSR
- Walk up the stairs.
- Walk to the red box on the wall.
- GET MASK (new inventory item: oxygen mask)
- WEAR MASK
- Walk through the tube until you get out of it.

Escape pod

- Walk west, and keep walking until you come to escape pods.
- Note: the escape pods are being guarded by a robot that will kill you if you get too close. It is advisable to walk to one screen before the escape pods, and change the game speed to slowest possible.
- Walk to the first escape pod door and stand in front of the button.

There are many ways to die in Sierra On-Line adventure games. Some players want to explore these, as Sierra used to have humorous deaths. For this game, here is a list of deaths. Note, this list may not be complete.
