About this walkthrough

This is a complete walkthrough for Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle.

Using this walkthrough will get you through the game with the least amount of time and wandering around, but may spoil the game and fun of exploring.

Items which can be picked up as inventory items and items which can be constructed by combining or using other items are written with bold text for emphasis.

 


 

Note: all characters appear as "unknown character" in the game before you talk to them. This walkthrough uses names which appear after talking to people when referring to characters.


Chapter 1


Chapter 1.Chapter 1.- Talk to Bonita Castillo (mother) about everything.
- Take dustpan next to fireplace.
- Take brush that is under the bench.
- Use brush with dustpan to get dustpan and brush.
- Take water jug from kitchen corner.
- Take cloth that is on top of a barrel on the opposite side of the room to get a dry cloth.
- Use dustpan and brush with dust patch next to the barrel.
- Use dustpan and brush with dust patch on the carpet.
- Use dustpan and brush with dust patch on the shelf behind kitchen corner. You now have full dustpan and brush.
- Go to Castillo house exterior.

- Use full dustpan and brush with large barrel.
- Try to use water pump.
- Take pump handle from the ground.
- Try to use pump handle with water pump.
- Search woodpile to get a magnet.
- Use magnet with muddy patch to get pivot bolt.
- Use pivot bolt with pump handle to get handle and bolt.

Chapter 2 - A Captain's Role

- Talk to Captain Castillo (father) about everything.
- Exit through cabin door.
- Take dull plate that is on the wall.
- Go to main deck, go to Bounty Island.

- Talk to Carlo about everything.
- Talk to Razzo about everything.
- Talk to Arno about everything.
- Use embroided handkerchief with dull plate to get polished plate.
- Use polished plate with Arno.

- Go to the docks.
- Talk to Nell about everything. You will receive fruit, bread loaf, and fried chicken wings.

- Take small chicken bone from the ground.
- Go to The Admiral's Rest.

- Use bread loaf with greasy frying pan to get greasy bread loaf.
- Go to the docks.
- Go to flat-top hill.
- Use polished plate with nest.
- Return to the docks.
- Talk to Arno about reflection.
- Use greasy bread loaf with Arno's sword.
- Use magnet with sea to get Arno's sword.
- Use Arno's sword with Razzo.
- Go to town hall exterior.

- Try to open town hall door.
- Try to open closed shutter.
- Use pistol with closed shutter.
- Interact with map room windows.
- Talk to Razzo and try to convince him to help. If you can't find the right conversation options, they are "Explain about Briscoe", "Obey your Captain", "Reward your Loyalty". You will automatically enter the map room.
- Look at locked chest.
- Use small chicken bone with locked chest.
- Use serial number with open chest, you will get Briscoe's map.
- Go to town hall exterior and return to The Admiral's Rest.

- Talk to Nacho about crew.
- Use Briscoe's map with Thomas Briscoe.


Chapter 3 - The Trail of the Golden Turtle


Chapter 3.Chapter 3.- Talk to Captain Castillo about everything.
- Talk to Thomas Briscoe about everything.
- Go to main deck, sail to another place, choose Crab Island map.

- Talk to Sonia Bond (from So Blonde) about everything.
- Talk to Razzo about everything.
- Look at inn sign.
- Go through inn door to Buckleberry Inn.
- Talk to Anita about everything.
- Interact with basket to get match box.
- Talk to Stranger about everything.
- Go upstairs.
- Try to interact with jackpot machine.
- Go downstairs.
- Look at modern picture on the wall.
- Try to take modern picture.
- Go to docks.

- Walk left and check the case catch and lamp on your way to The Winsome Maid.
- Go onboard.
- Go to Alessandro's cabin and talk Captain Castillo about doubloon to get doubloon (5). From now on, you can ask Captain Castillo in case you need more money.
- Return to to Buckleberry Inn.
- Use doubloon with jackpot machine.
- Play and win The Jackpot (cheat option available). The goal here is to get strong alcohol bottle. You can also try to win money (chest) from the machine, which will give four doubloons each time. If you try to repay the money that Captain Castillo lent, you need to win it at some point. The simplest way to achieve this is to keep playing now to make some money, and repay immediately when back onboard. If you keep retrying without exiting the slot machine view, retries won't cost extra doubloons, but exiting and retrying after that will cost extra.
- Use strong alcohol bottle with modern picture to get hairpin.
- Go to docks.
- Use strong alcohol bottle with lamp, the bottle becomes near empty bottle.
- Use match box with lamp.
- Look at town map.
- Use hairpin with town map to get Crab Island map.
- Return to to Buckleberry Inn.
- Use Crab Island map with Anita.
- Go to docks, and use the map to go to Graveyard of the Ancients.

- Try to interact with ironwork fence, telescope, and map sylinder.
- Use Razzo with telescope.
- Walk right and try to interact with fireflies.
- Take flowers.
- Use flowers with near empty bottle to get bottled flower nectar.
- Use bottled flower nectar with flat grave to get bottled firefly.
- Use bottled firefly with Tanner's statue.
- Use Razzo with telescope.
- Look at the combination, memorise it.

Combination.Combination.
- Use pistol with ironwork fence to get ironwork piece 1 and ironwork piece 2.
- Use ironwork piece 1 with ironwork piece 2 to get gripping device.
- Use gripping device with map sylinder. Enter the code that you saw in the telescope by turning inner and outer circles. The correct combination is inner circle - one rotation right, outer circle - two rotations left. You will automatically get small key, half stone disk, and map B. You will automatically go back to the ship.


Chapter 4 - Dark Dangers

- Talk to Thomas Briscoe about everything.
- Go to main deck, sail to another place, choose Hollow Island map.

- Talk to Sancha about everything.
- Go to town gates, go to upper town square, go to lower town square.
- Try to ring Percy's bell at Percy's stall.
- Try to interact with wheelbarrow.
- Go to governor's mansion interior.
- Talk to Miss Brown about everything.
- Use half stone disk with Miss Brown.
- Talk to Miss Brown about everything again.
- Use small key with exotic chest.
- Interact with key rack.
- Play and win The Lost Key (cheat option available).
- Return to upper town square.

- Talk to Sancha about everything. You should buy a gold earring, and net.
- Return to lower town square.
- Use net with wheelbarrow to get sticky clapper.
- Use sticky clapper with watercourse to get clapper.
- Try to use clapper with Percy's bell.
- Use hairpin with clapper to get repaired clapper.
- Use repaired clapper with Percy's bell.
- Ring the fixed bell.
- Talk to Percy about everything.
- Go to governor's garden.

- Try to interact with mosaic column.

- Search everything for fun, but you need to get hammer and chisel.

- Return to lower town square and use map to go to The Dark Beach.

- Study puddle of water. You may pick up a doubloon from there, if you wish.
- Use doubloon with puddle of water to make a wish, if you wish.
- Go to the dark reefs.
- Return to upper town square.
- Try to take the ladder.
- Use Diego with ladder, you will automatically return to the dark reefs.
- Use egg shell with egg shell on the ground.
- Talk to Thomas Briscoe, watch the cutscenes.


Chapter 5 - Save Elizabeth

- Use Diego with front door and try to convince him to help. If you can't find the right conversation options, they are "Disturbed", "Captain", "Home".

- Talk to Bonita spirit.
- Talk to Morgane kid about everything.

- Go to Alessandro's cabin, after cutscene you will automatically end up in the Castillo house.
- Talk to Captain Castillo, after cutscene you will automatically end up back onboard.

- Enter through hut door.
- Try to talk to Chem'in.
- Exit through hut door.
- Talk to Tana about Chem'in sleeping.
- Return to the hut.
- Interact with the bookshelf to get Voodoo recipes.
- Take voodoo kit.
- Exit and talk to Tana about caba-flowers to get flowers description.
- Return to governor's mansion interior.

- Use flowers description with flower pot.
- Talk to Miss Brown about caba-flowers.
- Go to lower town square.
- Talk to Percy about weed killer.
- Go to governor's garden.
- Interact with Percy's shed.
- Search everything for fun, but you need to get weed killer.
- Return to governor's mansion interior.
- Use weed killer with flower pot to get caba flowers petals.

- Use bloody feather with voodoo paper to get Chem'in paper.
- Use Chem'in paper with fireplace.
- Talk to Chem'in about everything, you will get painted pebble.
- Exit and go to Voodoo village.

- Use painted pebble with Bibli or Nambi.
- Go through temple entrance.
- Talk to Bajari about everything.
- Return to upper level.
- Talk to Tana about everything.
- Return to the temple.
- Talk to Bajari about curse and Tanner.
- Use turtle rod with Bajari.
- Return to the jetty.
- Talk to Thomas Briscoe about everything. After conversation Bajari will come and give turtle map. Watch the cutscene and go through automatically triggered dialogues.

- Enter through Drake's door.
- Talk to Mabel Thorpe about everything.
- Search the showcase to get blocked blowpipe.

- Use shovel with small mound that is closest to the statue to get old paper.

- Enter through Drake's door.
- Talk to Mabel Thorpe about everything.
- Interact with four drawer cabinets.
- Use small key with fourth drawer 2.
- Return to the Buckleberry Inn.
- Talk to Pierre LaCroix about everything.
- Go to docks.
- Talk to Sonia Bond about everything.
- Go back inside through inn door.
- Talk to Pierre LaCroix about everything.
- Go to French quarter.

- Try to enter through Drake's door.
- Use Diego with Dinsdale or Michell.
- Enter through Drake's door.
- Interact with governor's portrait.
- Interact with safe to see the lock mechanism.
- Look at showcases in the room, pay attention to showcases that have butterflies in them.
- Interact with safe again. Use the showcases as a hint to open it. The specimen number for each coloured butterfly is the critical hint. In case you can't figure it out, it's: red 8, yellow (gold) 4, green 1.

- Talk to Pierre LaCroix about Pedro Gonzales.
- Talk to Anita about everything.

- Return to docks.
- Take octopus.
- Go through inn door.
- Talk to Anita about octopus.
- Use octopus with Anita to get inc sac.
- Use inc sac with empty ink bottle to get ink bottle.
- Use ink bottle with pen and paper to get writing kit.
- Go back onboard Winsome Maid.
- Use writing kit with Nacho to get witness account.
- Return to the Buckleberry Inn.
- Use witness account with stranger or Anita.
- Talk to Pierre LaCroix about cloth location.
- Return to French quarter.

- Talk to Diego about everything.
- Walk left to Tortue d'Or.
- Talk to Max about everything.
- Talk to Uncle Eduardo about everything.
- Use turtle rod with Uncle Eduardo, you will automatically return to Winsome Maid.
- Talk to Uncle Eduardo.


Chapter 9 - Turtle Island


Chapter 9.Chapter 9.- You will automatically come to Turtle Island and receive whistle from Captain Castillo.
- Go to main deck, go to Turtle Island.
- Try to use Uncle Eduardo with distant branches.
- Take berries from berry bush.
- Take battered turtle shell from the ground.
- Use berries with Uncle Eduardo.
- Use Uncle Eduardo with distant branches.
- Use row-boat, go onboard.
- Talk to Diego about axe, you will automatically return to Turtle Island.
- Use Diego with dense vegetation.

- After coming to the bridge, look at carved stone.
- Use the carved stone as a guide to cross the bridge. If you can't figure it out, the correct path is as follows: start from the dark tile that is second from the left, after that, forwards, right, right, forwards, forwards, left, forwards, left, left, forwards.

- After cutscene, you are in a prison hut.
- Look at amber turtle, watch the cutscene.
- Use whistle with Uncle Eduardo.
- Use berries with pair of bodkins.

- Take solid small chest to get solid small chest and blue diamonds.
- Take plank.
- Take shackles from the other side of the hut.
- Use blue diamonds with Thomas Briscoe.
- Talk to Captain Castillo about everything.
- Use shackles with shackles (the picture in the inventory will change, but the item will be called shackles as well).
- Use solid small chest with posts.
- Use plank with posts.

- When outside, interact with basket to get slimy caterpillar.
- Go to Turtle Beach.
- Use blue diamonds with turtle shell to get incomplete mask.

Chapter 10 - The Great Spirit Egg

- Play and win Turtle Door Puzzle (cheat option available). For hint: the correct order of stacking is right, left, centre.
- Go to turtle chamber.
- Talk to golden turtle about everything.
- Interact with strange device.
- Talk to golden turtle about strange device.
- Talk to Tanama about everything.
- Go to turtle path and return to Turtle village.

- Try to enter shaman's hut.
- Go to shaman's hut.
- Interact with mattress.
- Interact with secret trap.
- Match all four images so that they all show turtle. The first image rotates only itself, the second image rotates first and second images, the third image rotates third and fourth images, and the fourth one rotates first and fourth images. If you can't figure it out, go in the following order: click first image three times, second image four times, third image twice, and fourth image four times.
- Try to take great spirit egg.
- Take leather hide pelt.
- Take fur hide pelt.
- Take tough thread from the shelf.
